uh.. no western tour?

Why is it that here in SEATTLE of all places Pearl Jam isn't playing.

Hell i live two blocks away from Mike Mcready's half sister and I can't see them unless i travel thousands of miles East.

INSANITY!
Circles they grow and they swallow people whole
Half their lives they say goodnight to wives they'll never know
A mind full of questions, and a teacher in my soul
And so it goes... - EV

In an interview someone posted a couple of days ago, Jeff said they have problems dealing with the city of Seattle in finding cool places to play.

I think they just planned the tour like that in the east because of Bonnaroo, I think if Bonnaroo was not in the works they would have taken the summer off and recorded.

Mike confirmed that the tour was indeed planned around the 'Roo,...

Yeah, I remember reading or hearing an interview with Mike where he said it takes as much effort to get ready to play one show as ten so they thought they should just play more shows.

    True :)

For you Seattle fans, that's actually one of the places Jeff mentioned as being hard to deal with because of the Seattle Center.

I would be surprised if they didn't play any dates in the West. Remember, the year isn't over yet and a lot can happen in 6 months.

    8/29/00, 8/30/00 - Mansfield

I'd be surprised if they did. I think after Ed's solo tour he might take a month off and then they will be in the studio until the new album is done.

I don't know. He mentioned problems with the city and Seattle Center. He said they are mismanaged.

He did mention White River as a potential cool place to play. I googled it and it looks like a cool venue, very similiar to Shoreline, where Bridge School is every year.

Why is it that there is one of these threads every week? They've played in the state of Washington over 40 times! Give it a rest!
