Time Lost

Look into the face of a stranger passing by
What time and years have made
Perhaps a warm embrace
The expression on the face and maybe erase
A brief moment in time
The feeling hidden deep inside
What money can't buy
and love has denied
Lost in the ever flowing tide
Sad, heartbroken, hopeless
Are the forever words
that tears a body down
And become just dust
Upon the windows of life
as others appear out
Seeing only sunshine, joy, and light.
It doesnt hurt.... when I bleed
but memories...they eat me
I've seen it all before,...
bring it on cause I'm no victim.

  • You certainly have a way of putting reality into poetic verse! :) Very nice, a poet! :)

it just occurred to me that your title echoes Proust's title for his novel.....in remembrance of times past.....or in search of lost time, and it makes me think that time is never lost.....
....they're asking me to prove why I should be allowed to stay with my baby in Australia, because I'm mentally ill......and they think I should leave......
