the day came in from the east
as my love departed with the night to the west
the sun didn't shine today
this wasn't a day of mourning
the clouds that smiled with rain
said hello...
to bid goodbye to the parade that made me ache
these smiling clouds
came and washed my tears away...

the turning of a page
the crossing out of another day in my life
this day.....i cried smiling tears to see go
last night...i wish i could see your image...
next to mine in the bathroom mirror
the rolling of these clouds..
coming in...smiling with rain
made me smile
b/c i only saw myself in that puddle of tears
as i'm happy not to see the sun shine today....!
