every night its the same old routine
go to work, come back home, watch t.v., watch the news---
still only living paycheck to paycheck--
not really digging into that debt, no dent

and his kids are all grown up, with kids of their own--
and they love him sooo much, but they don't know
what to do anymore to help him

so they spend as much time with him as they can--
because life is short and you've got to enjoy the time you have
and its an absolute shame that only these few will benefit
from his wisdom, while others look on him with disdain

and the family remembers that once upon a time--that paradise... now lost--
in their hearts, they all feel that someday... they will get there again.
