Who Do I Sleep With Tonight?
Lying in my bed, dark late up at night
It’s just gone a good two years, and I can still recall the sight
On the night when you felt silence, opening your door
Before you turned your back and then heard open up some more
Re-call the swift breeze cover you as a kitten purred in your ear
And but for your warm scrotum, your movement lost from fear
With curtains pulled, yet so much cooler, you knew straight away
The wind and its swift movement, had come to play again
Thoughts of running and where to hide, who are you and who am I
You asked for this but now you run, a test of character, what’s to become
You certainly didn’t want to disrespect, you know all too well
You call them out and then close your mouth you may end up in hell
So strong you thought you were to stay
But in your mind your thoughts had strayed
Praying for another day and hoping hell would soon vacate
Turned off the light, and closed your eyes, hoping they realised
Aware you are of life outside the reality in which life hides
But a stronger person, you’re not sure if they have cured or lied
Communication gets lost sometimes and you hope that they don’t mind
A simple man can’t understand, but understand in time
Now I’m lying in my bed, it’s dark late up at night
It’s just gone a good two years and I can still recall that fateful night
The night when you thanked strangers for passing without light
But tonight I ask you strangers, who do sleep with tonight?
