The End Of Erosion

In a city filled with water
Skyscrapers bend like pencils
Placed in a filled glass.

Sea birds occupy the roofs of buildings
Quickly shaping them to
Resemble mountaintops.

You float towards the bottom of the room
Your hands tied in the darkened water
Sinking towards the red and blue lights.

From a platform I go diving
In slow motion we both freefall

I paddle with my hands
While you struggle with yours.

My feet touch the lights first
My body jolts as though I have just surprised a
Sleeping snake
And in return it has surprised me.

I bounce to the next set
Prepared for the shock
Cutting you free
Before you too hit the bottom.

Leaving you to the vertical swim,
I collapse on the platform
A swollen neck my source of pain
My heroics an everyday occurrence
In this world.

This is interesting. I don't get some of it, but nonetheless the writing is very interesting.

This one is interesting. I can really picture these two swimmers and the city under water. :)
