MAPS

Surprise me life
In a positive way
Wake me up
Don’t let each day
Run seamlessly into the next.

I’m not asking
For a free ticket on this ride
Just make a few extra stops
Create a few extra
Dots on the map.

Some people say
You can create your own luck
To a certain extent this is true.

But what about the luck
When you’ve come to a stop
That life could choose to afford you?

Surprises come around
They probably do
More often than I believe.

Sometimes it feels
Like life’s a set play
And everyone must take the field.

Compared to your other poem this one seems to focus on the rhymes, and it flows faster because of it. I still like the poem of bridges and dust more, but this one seems more crafted.
