Since "the profound in nature" has been covered so well, here's a few poems of lesser layers... and yes, the thread title is implying low merit... because I've nothing better to do.



No Redeeming Qualities

The truth shall set you free
My savior rests in hand
Its burden unrelenting
No redeeming qualities

The truth shall set you free
No greater lie than which you read
Nothing is perfect
Therefore I am nothing.


(Couplet)

Proverbial diatribes to sanction sainthood.
Would clarity ever satisfy?


Social Commentary

Social commentary from the toad of hypocrisy
Idealism is measured by the distance from the problem.

Partly cloudy today, with lots of speculation.
Oh, f**k the cure, just fix me a pill.

I can smoke, I eat a salad everyday.
I know I'm fat, but it's still your fault.

Criminals don't obey gun laws...
Oh wait, they're not supposed to have them.

You can't do that; I'm going to send you to school...
So next time you don't get caught.

Come one, come all, we've food to forage!
I'm sorry, what's that? Me no speak "humanity."

What's a representative?
Oh, I hire you to make them rich.

I am always right and even when I am wrong I am right about being wrong, therefore I am always right.

    too true....you're bloody right.....hehehehehehehehe....even though I haven't got a clue about what you just wrote...it sounds right to me......:D
    ....they're asking me to prove why I should be allowed to stay with my baby in Australia, because I'm mentally ill......and they think I should leave......

    Social Commentary has some merit, there are some clever turns of phrase but it seems hampered by the fact that you take yourself too seriously or not seriously enough there's no way to know for sure
