So real
But painted
Polished
Precious
Perfection

So real
Never to fly
Faux
Figment
Flutter

So real
Dead wood
Weary
Weal
Weakness

So real
Utterly beautiful
Bountiful
Bone Meal
Brilliant

So real
But painted
Polished
Precious
Pontificating

Get Real!

Loved the pace in this poem, and how one word took you to another, loved the image of polished perfection.
    Nice!!

buru is spot on with the polished perfection...

    LOVE it :D

  • I like it...poetry's about struggling against the closure of precision, and you're right...there's something "not quite", something prissy about seeking completeness in art. Thanks, BE! :)
  • Thank you, thank you, thank you all! :D
