We Belong

The wind caught
your hair,

Blew away the
"I don't care",

To where,
it belongs,



My hand touched
your face,

Found a
tender place,

A space
I belong,



Our lips touched
in a kiss,

And nothing
was amiss,

Our bliss
this belongs,



Hearts burn
like the sun,

We've only
just begun,

As one
we belong...

    You know coleen, I'm missing your loverly poems! So I found one that I loved and I'm re-posting it here. :)

    enlighten me (by coleen 09/22/04)

    i am more
    than a series of openings
    more than somewhere
    to put yourself
    when you are
    bored
    or lonely
    or wishing for love of some kind
    to fill all the emptiness in you

    please
    don't misunderstand my open-ness
    it has never been a hole in me
    which begged for completion
    not a gaping orifice
    to be penetrated
    by your desire's attempt
    to quench the flames of nothing

    underestimate me
    confuse my kindness for weakness
    devalue my heart
    denegrate my soul
    just like the rest
    go on be like everyone else
    if you need to be
    i suppose its easier

    screw up all
    your courage
    and passion
    the vitality begging for release
    just once
    say what you mean
    and mean what you say

    semantics be damned
    throw off the armor of
    the lines you rely on
    to keep you safe
    as you burrow
    within
    the hearts of
    those who believe
    in you

    it isn't so
    terrible to be
    vulnerable
    to be open
    to the sweetness
    and to the
    possibility
    of life
    love
    truth
    beauty in all its purity.

    there is agony
    and doubt
    fear
    of?
    rejection
    loss
    what?
    pride
    vanity
    control

    don't fool yourself
    into believing
    that any of those
    matter
    that any of those
    things can be held
    in one's hand
    can keep you warm
    at night
    can keep you safe

    i love
    without
    malice or understading
    in the absence of
    reason
    logic
    reciprocation
    in spite of myself
    perhaps it
    can't be
    the way it was
    or could have should have would have been
    but nonetheless it is

    use it
    twist it
    call it by any other name
    that will
    bring you comfort
    but it is
    and despite our best efforts
    it hasn't died
    will not die
    can not die

    it is more
    than you
    or i
    or us
    and can not
    be found where it does not
    exist
    and exists
    as the air
    its all around us
    but its hard to say way where

    standin above the crowd
    he had a voice that was strong and loud and
    i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
    eager to identify with
    someone above the crowd
    someone who seemed to feel the same
    someone prepared to lead the way
