Spellbound (falling in trances)

The winter moon cascades
over stepping stone tides,
teasing me,
tempting me.
I cautiously and lightly step
upon the waters laid before me.
Solid, yet,
my steps send little ripples (shivers),
lapping like tongues
and tickling my toes (hee hee).
Beams of moonlight
warming my soft skin
like a lovers touch...
and something else...
something I can't quite
put my finger on...
but I feel like I've been
hugged by peace,
sweetly kissed by magic,
"as the wind just kind of
pushed me this way...
Wait, did you hear that?
Oh this is sure
stirring up some ghosts for me.
She said,
'There's one thing you've got to learn,
is not to be afraid of it.'
I said,
"No, I like it, I like it, it's good.'
She said,
"You like it now
but you'll learn to love it later.
I been spellbound - falling in trances,
I been spellbound - falling in trances,
You give me shivers."
Inspired by "Somewhere Down The Crazy River" by Robbie Robertson (also, quoted some lines of the song in the poem), the winter moon and Lake Ontario. Last night the waves looked like a staircase and I wondered what it would be like to ascend it...:)

{{{justam}}}, thank you, m'am!
Hey, catefrances! There's just something about that Robbie, I love his tunes! I actually prefer his solo stuff to his work with The Band. I mean, I can put on The Band and not have to fast forward any songs but Robbie...he just does it for me. And the song I bit lyrics from for my poem, it's so sexy and sensual, mmmm, mmmm...
"Up on Cripple Creek, she sends me, if I spring a leak, she mends me and I don't have to speak, she defends me, a drunkards dream if I ever did see one..."Hee Hee!
There's actually a wee, little town up in the mountains in Colorado called Cripple Creek. I enjoyed a day of underage drinking and gambling up there--it was great!
And if you've never seen the "The Last Waltz", you should definitely check it out!Forget your perfect offering, there is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in. - Leonard Cohen0 -

seen it?
i own it.
not so long ago, one of our art house cinemas had a showing. so naturally i rock along. as soon as it started i lost it. it was the first time i'd seen it on the big screen and for me, it was one of those rock moments we all have.
just being able to see richard manuel perform is enough. he's not in it nearly as much as he should be. and i won't even start on neil diamond's presence.hear my name

This is very good BE, as always...Our love must not be just words, but True Love, which shows itself in action,
No one needs a smile more than someone who fails to give one,
After you die...you know how to LIVE!0 -
that was just so fucking bee-U-tea-full BE!!! i am touched,... and will save a copy of this forever,... keep up the great work doll.I can hear what you're thinking,.. All your doubts & fears,... If U look in my eye,... In time you'll find,... the reason I'm here,.. In time U may come back somday,.. To live once more-- or die once more-- In time your time,... will be no more,...

Hee Hee! catefrances, ya gotta love when Neil Young comes out with a little *ahem* powder ball in his nose, screws up the intro to "Helpless" and then gets himself back on track..."I got it now, Robbie"
It's a great flick!
twin1, you're so kind. Thank you so much!
Dowecheatemnhow, gosh, jeez and gee whiz!THANKS SO MUCH!

oh BE, I'm very much liking this.
like already said, you can really see the picture of what's happening."Don't be faint-hearted, I have a solution! We shall go and commandeer some small craft, then drift at leisure until we happen upon another ideal place for our waterside supper with riparian entertainments."0 -
So glad you had a chance to see, eMMI!
Thank you, kindly.
