Being Enlightened

The clickety-clack of keystrokes
is the monotony
that numbs my brain,
can't even go insane!
The rainbows that dance
through my mind
clickety-clack
to gray,
the uncolour,
sucked dry of all spirit,
of all purpose.
I am a shell,
a shell
they try to fill
with technical jargon
and can't understand
that in this numbed state,
I am not a receptacle.
I am a wall.
A lifeless nothing,
(a number),
lumped in front
of a screen that beeps
and dings and
I'm having troubles
relating to my co-workers
because
the whip comes out
if I look sideways
and try to catch an eye.
The shades have been pulled down
on my sunshiney smiles,
my eyes have turned
from crystal blue
to plain-Jane gray,
just like my skin
as I lack the vitamin D
that the sunlight brings.
Slowly, slowly, surely
the gray's trying to
bleach my hair
of all it's lustre.
But I'm on to it.
It's only a matter of time
before
I throw the machinery
out the window
and follow it through
to the other side!

at least picture all that very very clearly in your mind, think about how people would act if you did it, enjoy the feeling.
here you go, I'll send you some rays of the sun. *sends BE a bunch of sun's rays*
that's what I do on Mondays, think about how great it would be to just.. go mad.
Really beautiful.
This might well be your best that I've read up till now.
Keep it going.
Thanx.
You’re on the outside, never bound by such a spell.
Together in the darkness, alone in the light.
I took it upon me to be yours, Timmy,
I’ll lead your angels and demons at play tonight......»
Thanks, sweetie! LOL! I like to think of freaking people out by just getting up and walking out in the middle of the day--never to return! I wonder how long it would take them to realize I wasn't coming back!!! LOL! Days, possibly weeks...Hee Hee!
and
{{{karma defect}}}, thank you so much for the lovely compliment and for taking the time to read and comment on my posts.

BE, I look at my eyes and sometimes and I worry....... they do change, they can gleam and shine but sometimes thay can be dull and drab..... they don't lie for me. I think some people have eyes that tell nothing so it's lucky I guess. It's good though that you can use the dross to create the gleam!
back to work, bizzette
love ya
hugs right back at ya!! oh oh, the sun is just rising behind me! I'll send you some of that too. not maybe as warm as yesterday but pretty as a picture.
*sends BE some early morning sun*
my pleasure darling!
one time in school (years ago) we had some exam, can't remember what, and I'd just had a HUGE fight with a friend.. I was so fed up that the only thing stopping me from leaving the classroom at that second was a smile aimed to my direction from a guy in my class I had started hanging out with. it was one of those, "it'll be okay, we can talk"-smiles.
after that time, I've stormed outta the room many times, not in school/work though.. but I love the idea!
hee hee, imagine the akward calls you would get from your boss/co-workers after you've been gone for two months, "umm, I couldn't help but notice that you haven't been in for a while.. soo, are you sick or something?"
lol.
