Being Enlightened

Incantations
Hypnotize,
He knew the colour of her eyes,
Child's smell,
Boy soul,
He knew that she could warm the cold,
Dream eater,
Devil's play,
He knew beauty, still she took his breath away,
Sleep walk,
Turn back,
He knew not of the coming attack,
Heat lightning,
Electrifying,
He knew her life, meant his dying.

burtschips!!! I'm so glad you learned a new word as a result of my poem!!! :)Poetry is great for that, isn't it? I think the best word I ever learned from a poem was the word pulchritudinous (characterized by or having great physical beauty and appeal). I do believe the poem was called "There's a Poem Inside of Me", methinks, methinks.
