Flute Pants

I've got a flute in my pants
and it can sing in a high soprano
or a low tenor
if need be
and when it whistles it whistles
and when it jumps up and down
you will see it in my pants,
but do not touch my flute
because it is sensitive
a lot like me
and it is sorry for hurting you that one time
in my loft-bed at school in the dormatory,
but all those other times when you played my flute
i was pretty happy
and i think you were too
because your morroccas shook like New Year's
chatter-chatter-chatter,
and remember swinging from the swings
on that oak tree
and how you said it made you feel sexual,
but that it was too hot out to roll in the grass;
my flute, needless to say,
was sad that day.

Glad I didn't. It's a cut above that. I dig the innocence of it... and mostly the apology... cuz I can relate to that (both in hurting her emotionally, and by splitting her up the middle).

i actually thought the same things about this as i was writing it and as i read it and then i remembered how innocent and scary and sexual it was to be in love...
