what do you think will happen:

All the king's horses
and all the king's men
will sing
goo goo goo joob
because that one famous guy
said that
right before his head got split open.

  • we'll sing knockin' on heaven's door
    and aaaaaaah-oooooooooooooooo
    werewolves of London
    and enjoy every sandwich
because we could wake up dead tomorrow
and what will we do then
    so let's sing now
    sing loud
    sing proud

All the messes and all the headaches
    will get cleaned up
but new ones will get spilt
and then all the honourable sining
    will stop
and a hush will hit the crowd
    and the nest "Bigger-then-Jesus"
will walk into the sunlit room
and our ears will get hammered open.

  • we will rejoice with this new voice
    we will savour the flavour
    candid candies by moonlight
    and walks on the water
    and flours in our hair
    and dances in trances
    and kisses four fishes
    and love for bugs
and my ears are bleeding again

and my hand will have an and
and my but will have an also

Listen to guitars as they gently weep diamonds
    Falling in white perfection
On the hill, with that fool where he’s living there still
Prudence opens her eyes only to find Gideon’s bible
Christ, you know it won’t be easy

    Tend my undersea garden,
    Grow kaleidoscope turnstiles,
    Watch yellow submarines drive by
It’d love to turn you on……..

And all the children will sing
Ob la de ob la da
    Life goes on

    And in the end
    The Love you take
    Is equal to the Love
    You Make

'..... Ah! A perfect illustration of the poststructuralist paradox. Does the signifier "Merlot" correspond with the 'truth' of the bottle I polished off last night, or do we hold in our thoughts a different "signified" of bottle-of-Merlot-ness? Perhaps we're dreaming of the same bottle!" -FinsburyParkCarrots

    if I couldn't have her
    red leaves the ring
    of the irish spring lather
    a ball drops at eleven
    in the city of edmund
    where club footed goatees
    run the mullet machine
    midnight forensics
    no open mouth kisses
    cinderblock slippers
    for the lakewater missis
    then Bob Seger ate
    my chicken fried steak
and I swore the white gravy'd
    receive the same fate

rain will wash away the water
and water will wash away the rivers
and rivers will wash away the oceans
and oceans will wash away the world
and a blanket of outerspace will wash over the blanket of the moon
and the moon will yell out in agony
and agony will wash over all our eyes
and our eyes will wash away the street lights
and the street lights will wash away the bar lights
and the bar lights will feel warm and soothing
and the globe will wash out
and the planets will wash up
and the religions will be washed up
and the poets will be watched for
and the year will have a washing-machine-like motion

  • and we can party like it's 1999
and when purple turns black we can scream
and when black bleeds maggots we can smile
and when maggots eat flies we can puzzle
and when we wave flies from our shit we can be happy
and when we actually eat shit, we can wash it down with piss
and when we throw up we will rejoice
and when we don't want to waste we will eat that too
and when gray leaks out of our ears, we will be free
