Dare to sigh and sore bemoan

So that none would know or care
Of your sad loss caught unaware.
“Greedily you hoard your pain
And I cannot just refrain
To allow ignorant pride.
I must tell you why you tried
And failed; you have lost, you lose
For me, your loss will long amuse.”
He thought his satisfaction,
a draw to pain’s attraction,
was a straw to break my back.
Little did he know, the lack
Of care I had was immense
For the winner of about ten cents.
