You Have Nearly Missed Me

This little romance bit is not nearly done in the revision process, but when are poems ever finished? My never are. Anyone may offer whatever advice they wish!

You have nearly missed me.

When you had not my love
and could not have kissed me,
you exposed to me a dove
that I knew nothing of.

My nerve
was lost
on you.

Chance caused nerve in my glance
at celestial bodies, the dipper's cup -
meteors came down upon us
but I could not stop looking up
to you...lying there.

What place is this where one can be taken
in the confines of a covenant made so swiftly?
Just enter into my room and lock the door tightly,
because this must be heard, let none break in.

Come upon me and fulfill my desires, then.
You know where they come from
for you planted them within me, lovely freyja.

If your daily life sounds simple,
give it interest with consciousness of me.
Take a shot of fire water
and a song at the altar.
Liberal Douchebags that Blame Bush for Everything are Useless Pieces of Trash. I Shit on You.

I note a growing freedom and confidence in your use of form here in this new poem. It looks promising. I'll read it again a couple of times to reply substantially John. Merry Christmas to you.
