An Irish Story

My grandmother told me this story and it was so funny, I thought I'd tell you.

My grandmother lived in Ireland from age 8 to 13. During that time, she went to a wake for a friend of the family named Michael Gallagher. She was fairly young, but she could remember her aunt, who she was living with at the time, talking about poor old Michael. Someone got up the nerve to ask her aunt what Michael died of, and the aunt replied, "Gonorrhea." My grandmother's Uncle snapped at his wife, "Why would you be saying that about Michael? You know he died of diarrhea!"

"Ahhh the shits-ass, I thought I'd give him some notoriety!"

This story had the approval of Finsbury so I thought I'd share it with you all.
