Calm after the Storm

Like the Ocean so beautiful,
many people see but do they really look underneath the surface, to what lies beneath, In many places broken and bruised in others vibrant and colorful changing, growing, always passionate. When you are angry and hurt you are near inconsoleable but there is always the calm within the storm the part of the heart that can't be broken struggles on no matter what the odds. The storm will end soon enough and the sun will break through the clouds again exposing the beauty that lies beneath the surface.
My Girlfriend said to me..."How many guitars do you need?" and I replied...."How many pairs of shoes do you need?" She got really quiet.

    Light/ning....I love you anyway.
  • The calm within the storm of passion. What a wonderful notion. It's the idea that perplexes logicians regarding the concept of the creation of the universe by a divinity: How can something so static and benignant be the cause of such violent creation? It's also an idea that befuddles psychologists: In the midsts of an outburst of temper, why is it that someone in a midsts of rage can dissociate themselves from their actions and almost watch themselves shouting and bawling, with a dispassionate eye? Is it the calm centre, not repressive but exclusive of potentially soul-destructive energy, that causes the expulsion of anger though?

That unshatterable centre, that ontos, that force that catalyses by its very stillness.

    Great post, paco.
