As much as I'd like to get away from the northeastern winter for this festival, The Pogues, Death Cab, and Flogging Molly aren't near enough to cause me to take vacation. I like all three, but I'll wait till they come through Philly individually. Still hoping for PJ at Coachella one of these years.

Hello, I love you. Won't you tell me your name?
  • This lineup in nowhere near as good as the last few years. There may still be time to add some big names, but I would assume that anyone big they'd have to get pretty far in advance. Oh well.

I was hoping for a Minus the Bear, Spoon, Band of Horses, or Pinback. Ryan Adams will be sweet though.

I agree- it's almost as if they didn't announce the headliners yet. How the hell are Snoop and Death Cab headliners?????

and for sure we need to get up for a show- maybe if KOL ever announces some FL shows

    Langerado 2009 Initial Lineup

We are pleased to announce the initial artist lineup for the 2009 Langerado Music Festival, being held March 6-7-8 at Bicentennial Park, nestled alongside Biscayne Bay in downtown Miami!

We are excited to have put together a lineup as diverse as the population of South Florida, representing a wide variety of the music Langerado has welcomed in the past. We're thrilled to be bringing back some much loved friends, in addition to an incredible roster of performers making their first appearances at Langerado.

Death Cab For Cutie • Thievery Corporation (Live) • Slightly Stoopid • Ryan Adams and the Cardinals • Dashboard Confessional • The Pogues • Matisyahu • Flogging Molly • Michael Franti & Spearhead • Broken Social Scene • Cafe Tacuba • Umphrey's McGee • The Disco Biscuits • Robert Randolph & The Family Band • Pepper • The Faint • Cold War Kids • Steel Pulse • Public Enemy • Gym Class Heroes • Tricky • Girl Talk • Chromeo • Mute Math • Bad Brains • Ozomatli • Against Me! • George Clinton & Parliament / Funkadelic • Tortoise • DeVotchKa • Black Kids • Grupo Fantasma • Holy F*ck • Budos Band • Tokyo Police Club • Lotus • The Virgins • The Gaslight Anthem • King Khan and the Shrines • Lucero • Murs • Ra Ra Riot • Tortured Soul • Rebelution • K'Naan • The Egg • Zac Brown Band • Tigercity • The Aggrolites • Cloud Cult • Spam Allstars • Rachel Goodrich • Blue King Brown • The Heavy Pets • Awesome New Republic • The Postmarks • Suenalo Sound System • Live Painting by LEBO

I'll be there just to see them (MFSD) & Blue King Brown, George Clinton, Bad Brains, Steel Pulse, Thievery Corporation, SSS and Public Enemy.

Yeah I agree. Although they might be cosidering Death Cab big enough for one of the nights. But really nobody else is big enough to headline.
Also we haven't heard any birds chirping or anything.
yea theres been a svere lack of tweetage around here these days.
Anyways that area down there is mostly Hip Hop so I think Snoops gonna prolly close out at least one night. And even if they feel DCFC is big enough to close out a second nite...who closes out the 3rd one..Ryan Adams?

Franti would have been a good act to see in action but there are only three groups of people that are worth long-distance travel: family (certain members), friends and Pearl Jam :D

HA...I've traveled to London, Belgium and France to see Michael Franti and Spearhead. This however I'll already be in FLorida, Palm Beach and it's just a short drive to Miami from my second home.
