"Um Hello...My name is bJam and my thoughts are mangled right now. My good friend was put to rest yesterday...killed a week ago today, um wasnt wearing his seatbelt and ran a red light. im so sad but angry right now. he was a good friend and a loyal family man to his nephews and neices. One mistake took his life...Just be cautious in life my friends...and maybe open up to surroundings when you dont think you have too....um thats all for now..."
I dont know what to say...but hello:)

    I'm sorry my friend.

This one mistake can teach us all and hopfully prevent others from the same.

    May he rest in peace.

thanks for sharing bjam.. i'm very sorry for your loss .. traffic fatalities are tragic .. i know everyone at one time or another makes a bad driving mistake. i was daydreaming once and ran a red light and didn't even realise it until i was through the intersection.. if a car had come across, i might not be writing this...when i was a boy, one of the most played "public address announcements" was the series about defensive driving which advised viewers to "watch out for the other guy"

i want all you jammers to live a good life.. be careful and have fun when you get there..

    peace
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

I was thinking about you earlier today. There just never seems to be the right words to say but be strong for him and yourself. Death is always hard accept even when we know a loved one is nearing their last days but when a young person is killed before they have a chance to really savour all of what life has to offer it seems twice as hard.

Try not to think about all the years he won't be here with you but all the years you did have him in your life, the good days and bad, the fun days and sad ones. You know he wouldn't want you to grieve too long...

    Take care...J
Throughout the course of our lives,we will meet many great people. Friends, family, strangers who somehow cross your path and enemies; they all have something to teach you. Some will leave deep footprints and others will not. Just be sure to wipe your feet before you step into someone's heart.

    thank you J.

"um thanks to the rest...I know not to think to the future without him...it saddens me to much. I have been thinking about the lil things Greg would do...LOL. a lil story about greg...a man who would do anything for anyone...he saved a woman froma burning building, he would stop his car to help a stranded person, he would drive 7 hours to deliver some bbq to old friends he hasnt seen in years, thats who he was. tonight a few of us are going to a bar called streets of london...a place where we would drink pitchers of Boddingtons and catch up with one another weekly...hes gone from that meeting now, but he will be there in spirit. life comes in cards, his ran out and he needed to fold I guess...just wish i could of hugged him that morninng instead of shaking his hand and saying, "later Greg, talk with ya soon", he said, "allright coondog good seeing you tonight," smiled and I turned and walked away..."

  • I've lost two friends through separate, avoidable traffic accidents. I miss them everyday, years later.

    Take care, friend.
