  • Just Like Heaven - The Cure (always been one of my fave's--it's actually upbeat sounding and the lyrics are cool)
Silly Love Songs - Paul McCartney (so adorable!)
Crazy Love - Van Morrison (awesome lyrics!)
Imperfectly - Ani DiFranco (again, lyrics)
Somewhwere Down The Crazy River - Robbie Roberston (mmmm, such a sexy sounding song--it's gives me the shivers! :) )
And I Love Her - The Beatles (pretty much any lovey-dovery Beatles song--they're so sweet)
Cheek To Cheek - Billie Holiday ("and I seem to find the happiness I seek,
when we're out together dancing cheek to cheek")
No PJ suggestions because you already mentionned you had some picks. :)

So, well, there's a few that come to mind for a mix. :) I personally think that your mix should come from the heart and include songs that you both like, even if they have no lovey-dovey lyrics. Plus, you want to pick songs she likes and will want to listen to again so, take into consideration her musical listening preferences. I know that there's some lovely loving songs out there that I just can't stand even though the lyrics are great.

It's very sweet of you to want to do "little things like this" for your girl. Just don't lose that feeling! Sometimes we get too comfortable in a relationship and we forget that these types of little simple, kind and loving gestures can keep things fresh and romantic. :)

I hope she loves her tape, my_wave!!!
Forget your perfect offering, there is a crack in everything, that's how the light gets in. - Leonard Cohen
  • hehe. well this may not fit that well, (i dont know if you have been with her for a while or not)

i like this one a lot:

with or without you - U2 - (and maybe "All I Want is You" as well)

try this one out too, (lastest discovery):

Wind in my Sails - Spoken

(you might find it on one of those mp3 things like kazaa) (if that still exists) i think it is kind of a hard cd to find. you might be able to find it at http://www.spokenmusic.com) (gooood song)

    good luck
