I live in an apartment,
Above me lives a dike,
I’d like to crank the volume
To a level she don’t like.
Been itching to play Pearl Jam,
Loud without distortion,
But Mary does much frighten me,
With carriage and with motion.
So it is I'm living,
With terror and in fear,
For if I make her mad again,
She’ll likely kick me rear!!
Above me lives a dike,
I’d like to crank the volume
To a level she don’t like.
Been itching to play Pearl Jam,
Loud without distortion,
But Mary does much frighten me,
With carriage and with motion.
So it is I'm living,
With terror and in fear,
For if I make her mad again,
She’ll likely kick me rear!!
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

I tempted fate and Mary,
Listened to a song or two,
The one was somesuch Crazy
I've never been so much at rest,
Whence morning came quite clearly,
Until the shrill screams from the loo,
Ingrained in mind so hazy
She smoked the vents until I wept,
Then mesmerized me scary,
I'll never be at peace, not too,
Til night times become lazy.
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
