The Sky

Plastered against the sky,
Clouds are vacant,
As my father rages against the losing battle with the LIGHT,

And I seek comfort...

Found in a song...

ALIVE
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

Well, perhaps this is a topic for another conversation.
But it would seem to me that lately there have been
alot how shall I say? I'm not sure, but for a brief moment
it seems that so many men are bent out of shape all
of the time, and the women are too. This just leaves us
all alone feeling broken...And it is someones fault! People
don't feel like crap for no reason, so it gets to me, what
did we do or do we do that is so bad or wrong to hurt so
much all of the time?! It makes me ask what can we do to
fix it? To stop it to prevent it? Thats all, your poem made
me address an ongoing issue- for you seem to be asking
what is the problem? Shall I mind my own business?

OH by the way, I like your poem alot. Very cool.

    it was never a battle
    the minute i heard Alive

    i KNEW
    in all my pregnant embarassment
that my love was still Alive

I had married the wrong one
at the right time to make another
    but in that voice

    a battle of love
    began

i put on my doc martins
    walked out the door
    and walked many years to
    yours

    i have always
    want ed
    an

i sought hard for your eyes in the light of the blue sky
a trace or a wisp of your smile
the flavor of salt and brass mouthpieces mixed with
    my knowing for certain
    you're not coming back

and i could have cried if i just had the time
but my day was already so full
    yes, i could have cried
    if i weren't so sure
that it all goes by and it always will

    sorry bout your da, olderman...
