I was talking to my friend,
No response was expected,
And I asked him why?
Why did you make me cry?

You taught me to play guitar,
You were my buddy,
You were special,

But you took yourself away... and all of our discussions about life were thrown away..

I was talking to my friend,
Another bend,
Another fork in the road,
And I will no longer accept your attitude.

You can no longer get away without an explanation.
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

How long do you think it will take you to forgive him?
(Even if he never explains himself?)

I hope he can explain ... in some future tense ...

For your sake, I hope he does. It takes longer to get over something if there's a question hanging in the air between you and it just gets ignored.
