the moment

his passing had come as expected,
thus his son only cried but a bit,
no sobbing for days,
just the moment's sadness.
then came the moment,
four months late,
when he sat in silence,
and his tears, very naturally,
flowed from his eyes like a rain river
thru the gentle field of acceptance.
thus his son only cried but a bit,
no sobbing for days,
just the moment's sadness.
then came the moment,
four months late,
when he sat in silence,
and his tears, very naturally,
flowed from his eyes like a rain river
thru the gentle field of acceptance.
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green

beautiful...
And I won't make the same mistakes
(Because I know)
Because I know how much time that wastes
(And function)
Function is the key
Interesting how this line becomes what I'll call "The Emerson"... invoking naturalism, thus tripping into naturalistic metaphor. I like this piece. It's simplicity is very much like a meadow, and the ending is quiet and sunny and warm... and without chaos. Thank you for this Quite peaceful.
I like this line.
a very beautiful poem, thank you for sharing.
No one needs a smile more than someone who fails to give one,
After you die...you know how to LIVE!
