(I had intended to contribute this to Ms Haiku's TSWTLI VS edition, however, I had save it to my C drive and my motherboard fried. I hope you enjoy.)

Rock

Stronger waves and currents under tow,
Foment and foam form a glass pillow -

Gazing into lives seen within the songs,
A momentary glance from home,
This portrait of a still life kept close,
Searing rage and the angry victim,
The helpless one cries again,
Clueless, in womb, borne, unwanted,
Brave, strong and undaunted,
Whipped so the face is
Glancing for approval the nod confirms,
Left someone far away by need,
She skips aside, walks alone,
Vermin stare as the dusk becomes the dawn.

The Captain cried his tears of joy, smiling madly,
Never looking back, splashing cool, blue water,
Passing the lustful cries of lovers in love’s clutches left to chance,
As if it matters, as if it makes any difference.
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
