Daughter

Robust in life and in love
With a kind young man
She swirls slowly away,
Yet never too far as still
She’s daddy’s little girl
And I still call her Daughter.

Soon she’ll be telling me
About the wedding,
So many changes
Come about too soon,
Love my little girl,
Time to let go-
Still my heart and
I’ll always call her Daughter

PS yeah, feeling a bit sad tonight, thanks for reading. :)
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
