my favorite poem by charles bukowski is:

finish

we are like roses that have never bothered to
bloom when we should have bloomed and
it is as if
the sun has become disgusted with
waiting
...well i guess there's nothing wong with what you say...

    bukowski is great.. i haven't read any of his stuff in years it seems like but it was always.. comforting knowing there are more cynics like me out there

    Buk is great. I particularly like 'the meek shall inherit the earth' and 'genius'.

    I have always meant to get into buk's work... and have only managed to give it a cursory glance, but I certainly like what I have read.

    LOL and it appears that I could take a cue from that last one.
    I'm stepping in front of the gushing hydrant in a hurricane. I'd like to see the traction I keep.
