it's christmas time

in a time with fallen rainbows,
we all go searching
for turned over pots of gold.
piles of leaves hide honest innocence
when we're waiting for the snow to hold.
yesterday's wishes of camaro hood moons
never cease to fall away
to tomorrow's misspent noons.
the world is a personification of days and nights
and a kiss and hug pulled away from
and held just right.
disconnected thoughts of for-sure blue
ribbon winnings and pulling the table cloth
out from underneath the plates,
the bowls, and all the trimmings.
I'll dig a tunnel
from my window to yours

    You ask me to enter
But then You make me crawl
And I can't be holding on

    Underneath this smile lies everything
All my hopes and anger, pride and shame
  • well, thank you...i appreciate that a lot
