today - the return

soul searching quest of all time on and on~
day into night with no sense of time gone

the reincarnation of something new
the rainbow of colors, all the hue
still beauty can’t hide behind
someone who’s color blind

light trying to chase away shadows
darkening closure; as if to say
look to the sky for freedom
and find the brightest star to lead the way

a promise of light once again
a new day of brightness, though sometimes brief
the black clouds giving way to rain, a relief

the future holding after this flash; past to stay
imagination can make it perfect
somehow it’s mine~ today

singing out to let you know~
what’s been seen before
doesn’t really show
singing out in the usual way
words caught in my head as if to say

another destiny to find, that I can’t forget~
another life waiting, that I don’t know yet

It reminds me of reincarnation and the returning of the same day,unexplained and never to beerstood in all its wisdom.

Thats just my take on it,...what it reminds me of.....

I like it too, mostly the phrases that continue to the next line. Sometimes I've seen poems where it doesn't flow, and the reader is stuck, but in your poem I sense movement to the next line that is not forced.
