Every Color but Blue...

When it’s simple...it comes so easy
Complications always arise from over-thinking
Let it out…drip drop…floating away
Work in primary colors, never stray
Play everything in the key of C

Revolutions are too far and few
And they’re downright dirty too
So, I’m waiting for the next revelation
I want to see the world spun at a completely different speed
But the earth’s quite content where it’s spinning

It’s what everyone wants anyway
A sing-a-long or flavor of the day

So, I’m left here waiting
Hoping tomorrow is that day
Tomorrow never comes; what’s the problem?
Change only comes with action
Can I instigate the change?

What color is the sky today?
Oh that’s right, it’s always the same
Seek the change; find some faith
Your revolution may be stuck at the gate

One thing’s for sure; I’ll sit and wait
And my sky will be every color but blue…
