Our aim has changed
Headed in a direction we never could recall

Four blank walls
Brown square boxes
Are these the simple spoils of an adult life?
Not a chance.

These meager possessions represent
Nothing more than basic barter
They do nothing but fill the space
And make us feel less alone
If only for a moment

The real progress of this existence
Is walking the path
Then realizing those who share the same direction
Might be able to help us better understand
Where rests the final destination

These questions cannot be answered
But in simple conversation

We may come to understand
We must not only think of the destination
But the shallows created
In the wake
Of the soles of our shoes
To walk the path is merely a journey
To find a friend to share it with
If only for a moment
Is to understand the goal
From a different perspective.
tank you veddy much
