it's quiet enough to feel
and murmur questions out loud
I guess we all need to find those people & goals
that make us want to hang on for dear life?!
not to let go or give up
persevere rather than fold up
ideas we go back to because we love 'em so much
make us want to modify the method
try that other way
turn left
stop, back-up
turn around and go right
get out of the car and walk even!
sleep to rest and then
get up and go on the next day
what we love, we hang onto
run, walk, crawl,
maybe it's love?
maybe it's beauty?
maybe it's passion?
maybe it's feeling rather than dying?
maybe it's merely the joy in trying to live within our dreams?
I don't know
but we all need something we want to hang onto
