If

If a secret of the universe came in my dream
would it be right to keep quiet?
probably
since to share it would seem
well...
know-it-allish?
pretensious?
ridiculous, dopey, borrrring
but what if it could help unfortunate zombies?
living a cold day-to-day?
should I stay quiet anyway?
shhhh, what's under my hat?
maybe I could drip out the clues to help now and then?
bit-by-bit
would that be kinder?
how to spill it all?
perhaps it's not that important?
or, maybe it won't seem so tomorrow
what if it's only news to me?!
I'll whistle a happy tune for the idea
any-which-way

i dont think i'd want to know.
seriously, i think it would freak me out.
i think it would freak all of us out if we knew
all the answers to the universe.

now if you wanna whisper in my ear the secret
behind women and all their mysteries, i could probably
    give you a listen.

    "Hear me, my chiefs!
I am tired; my heart is
    sick and sad. From where
the sun stands I will fight
    no more forever."

    Chief Joseph - Nez Perce

it's possible to know the power
    of my thoughts and actions
    before I release them
    would it change my mind?

...If a secret of the universe came in my dream...
    who's universe would it be?
Nothing divine dies. All good is eternally reproductive. The beauty of nature reforms itself in the mind, and not for barren contemplation, but for new creation. ~ Nature, Emerson

Who knows all the answers to the univers? Certainly not me. I just get little glimpses of glinty things now and then. :)
