A Beautiful Stupor

Have you ever seen something that stopped you cold?
something that made you freeze on the spot?
Maybe it was a color
or a texture
or a smell
or all of them together?

Maybe it was a sound
of a combination of sounds?
or, maybe the lack of sound at the right time?

Some people jump up and down when they’re excited
shout and scream
hop and leap about
some people become still
eyes wide open
ears extending
in a beauty daze
soaking in a feeling
&&&&&&&&&&&&&&

    there is nothing to compare with soaking in these moments.

    my favorite such memory was the first time (and to this day these moments continue to amaze me) i was struck by the beauty of a female.. such a time, eh? :D
    Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
    As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
    And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
    He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
    What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
    Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
    And his tears fall and burn the garden green

    Yeah. :)

    I can't remember the first time that happened to me, but I suspect it was music because I was caught by it quite early. :D

    I never meant to hurt you, mi diablo, mi amigo, but I've built up so much character I have an alter ego. I have to make a clean break & I have to do it quick because the pain you give me babe would make Cal Ripken call in sick!!!
