Old words from the drawer

Like the best changes often do,
this thought came as a gift one day...
Could she really set free those ungroomed creatures
that paced in their pens?

So many years of pondering ideas alone
it was a familiar routine
ovals of thought moving 'round,
'round, 'round,
going past just one more time

to discover this visitor with a key
it made so much difference
it brought energy and freedom to the animals

Maybe those sleek and fuzzy ones could live
in the back yard?
Maybe they could only occasionally
retreat to the cozy pile of pillows in the closet?

You know, maybe it was just that smile of yours.
I saw it this morning and I felt that old melting, sinking feeling.
Your secret weapon I guess. :p

I'd love to be in love (I guess I still am....that old melting, sinking feeling)....:)
....they're asking me to prove why I should be allowed to stay with my baby in Australia, because I'm mentally ill......and they think I should leave......
