I feel this way because I know Ed (and PJ) love the city of Atlanta and since ATL didn't get a show this time around (really since 03) they/we are deserving of a solo show.

I am rooting for you all to get some south dates.. but i think it's safe to say that if Ed does some solo touring it's most likely going to be before/around election time, he will most likely hit swing states... ala the VFC tour in '04. but here's to hoping for some southy action cuz i could use an all encompassing southern trip!

never been to The Moon and I'm not sure how Floyds would be. have you ever been to a show at Floyds??

he could definitely play at one of the theatres on campus though. that'd be amazing. either the Ruby Diamond or he could go much smaller and play the "theatre"/classroom in the College of Music.

I love Floyds- they recently redone the place- new sound system and lights show. The best place to hear a show in town is at the Moon though, but for some reason no one really ever comes there. Never seen a show at Ruby Diamond though- I graduated high school there and saw Chuck D speak there a few years ago

I'm not sure how ev feels about Memphis but it has been utterly neglected since the year 2000. Just out of fairness, Memphis should be a priority for Pearl Jam and/or Eddie Vedder. Ed would sound sooooo fabulous at the Orpheum. And we have the new FedEx Forum that could accomodate a fantastic Pearl Jam fan base with an excellent Beale Street experience to follow the show.

and for the record, since i didn't get a chance to add a last reply, i thought the end of the south thread, especially ty's post being last and stoneg's rebellious streak showing through to the very last, was a perfect way to wrap up the thread. hope to meet more of you next time out
