To believe in happy endings
if I could believe it
it'd be such a relief
there'd be no hesitation
it'd be yes all the way
being there, not here
tell me the truth
should I believe it?

    You're permitted to believe
But then hope might be your downfall

    beware of life

I say, believe it with all your heart, never hesitate--no matter what the outcome, if you can't BELIEVE in happy endings, what have you got left? :)

Sweet relief to you, AM dearest! :)

hope is like god ~ the opiate of the masses

i could say that all endings are happy, or that all endings or sad ~ i don't think it really matters. happiness and sadness are generally present in all things.

Well, I've been reading about creative visualization, and from that perspective . . . if you think it, then it is so . . . or something along those lines. Yes, believe in happy endings! Why not :)

    I've been suffering
    through the heat
    just waiting,

    and one day
    a golden leaf
    will fall inside my jacket.

I also think there's something to the idea that our thoughts can come to life--both good and bad. But, luckily, I don't think that's the whole picture either because there are a lot of people who may also have their own visualizations that may add or subtract from the equation...

Anyway, a positive view of the future probably can't HURT most of the time. Who knows really? Maybe it's all a big game we're playing without knowing all the rules.

I don't know. The older I get, the more I realize that you can be surprised by events that you least expect, from out of the blue.
