there are those times
when feelings come towards me
like a vision
like a dream
except I'm awake

I don't know what to think

Do I have an over-active mind?
Painting pictures with thought?
Involuntary fantasy?
Is that it?

I have no reason to think these thoughts real
yet whoooooooosh they appear
a gift from nowhere
a package on my brow

I worry about the pain that comes my way
I like to fix things that are broken
I like to take care of people I love
I want to pull you up
