I get quiet
it’s no secret

At
the
worst moments,
usually when I need my tongue the most!
Old-fashioned, I close down like a small town on a Sunday
I slam shut like a clam

I suppose words aren’t my first language
but luckily
I think
my ears and eyes work pretty well

    This is so cute Justam! Makes me think of the saying, "God gave us 2 ears and 1 mouth so that we may listen more than we speak". We need our listeners, they are quite important! I would rather spend the day with someone who doesn't talk much than someone too loud that never stops talking... :):)

    My sis has always been pretty quiet. Not as much anymore since her kids - has to yell at them all of the time. :) I think it is refreshing to be around quiet people. They are very observant and tend to notice things talkers don't. My sis and I really don't need to talk much to connect anyway, may be a twin thing, being really close to someone you don't have to talk so much, it just isn't needed... :)
