it's not me

I won’t yell and kick and scream
I don’t usually throw scenes
(‘though sometimes I do slam doors and throw things)
but, I try not to
I usually stay loving
even in the face of a storm

quiet and steady,
trying to stay contained
trying not to melt
maybe sing to myself

blow on by
blow on by
blow on by

I can so easily just blow away
like a wisp of smoke
I might dissolve
or maybe I’ll just float away on my tears

    this is truly beautiful..

i like the storm reference and then the calm..

    and then the sadness

    thanks
Down the street you can hear her scream youre a disgrace
As she slams the door in his drunken face
    And now he stands outside
And all the neighbours start to gossip and drool
He cries oh, girl you must be mad,
What happened to the sweet love you and me had?
Against the door he leans and starts a scene,
And his tears fall and burn the garden green
  • Oh justam, this is beautiful! :) I've felt like this...yes, thank you. :)

I also like this one too justam...I have felt this way as well sometimes... :)
Our love must not be just words, but True Love, which shows itself in action,
No one needs a smile more than someone who fails to give one,
After you die...you know how to LIVE!
