If I was a lotus

If I was a lotus with roots attached to the floor of my lake
maybe I could bob on the water for a lifetime
with strong waxy leaves to shield me
and I could be invulnerable to the creatures that ceaselessly swim by
even the schools of nibbling fish
and the cross-currents from the jet-skis, canoes and motor-boats

I could be patient
at peace and lovely
unworried and happy
Should I try to be a lotus?

    What word do you think would be better than incessantly? Is there a more watery word that would fit? Ceaselessly?

    I love this as well.

    The imagery you create and the feelings you capture for the description of a lotus..absolutely gorgeous.
