Beauty I remember

The place where I grew up is stunning
blue skies
white fog
green pine trees
beaches and bridges and hills
and views from high peaks
it’s beautiful to look at
but I never met anyone like you there

the rain forests I’ve walked in have made me cry on occasion
they’re SO green
and SO wet
and the air is thick
and it feels like love
(I wish I could go there with you)

the views of Lake Tahoe that I hold in my memory are gorgeous
the clarity of water in the summer was such that you could see to the bottom from far, far away
and damn that water was cold enough to wake the dead
In the winter the snow on the trees is other worldly
especially when the snow is coming down so fast that the air is totally white
but I never met anyone like you there

the swimming pool that saved me from the heat in Texas was delightful
it was refreshing
it was soft and like a womb
and the nights were perfect
cooler than the day but hot enough to make you feel like you wanted to be in love
(I wish we could spend a night in the heat together there)

All these places were beautiful
but none of them had you
and none of these favorite places were as beautiful as you are to me
your company would have made them heaven
but I never met anyone like you there

    That was really beautiful... :)
Our love must not be just words, but True Love, which shows itself in action,
No one needs a smile more than someone who fails to give one,
After you die...you know how to LIVE!
