How do wars start?
If anyone would have asked
"what is it?"
in a flowing stream, explained
resolved, shake hands
'stead of arguing
with no such question asked
on a wall, graffiti scrawled
up, down, sideways
shots, misunderstanding
nearly a comedy of errors!
(if it wasn't so sad)
miss the conference?
trip on a bomb?
lose a plane somewhere?
and the strangers walk by
(throwing in their asides)
confuse, push participants
deliver mistrust like UPS on a busy day
poison, death, stabbing, starvation, huh? what? uh??
there ought to be NONE
far r a t h e r have none, we
a picture of hands held
ignore the brick ink and
just PAINT IT RED!!
cut it down/stop war today
but is everyone dead?
(yeah, everyone's been killed)
maybe there's peace then?
maybe the plants can resurface the land?
erase the evidence of the dead puppets?
Long, long ago there lived confusion...
and then there was silence
I saw a TV show about plants and animals taking back the world after man is gone (wiped out somehow)...it was interesting how quickly they could re-do the landscape and how fast the oceans could recover (according to the scientist's projections) once men stopped fishing and polluting. I wonder if it's true?
