I learned a few things from the first time
this happened
I discovered that even people who play with love
sometimes f a l l in love
and even people who probably should know better
can still be hurt
but that’s okay, because it’s better to feel something
than to be numb and hollow
And it’s better to be real yourself than to be shallow
because it’s expected
And people really do prefer to rise up to something true
And whether you believe it or not,
I honestly love you
