Thank you
For the push
to look at a map
because I’d reached a wall

I knew I was in a bad neighborhood
I kept reaching the same alley with a dead end
but I was too embarassed to ask for directions
out of the maze
so I just kept going around in circles

It’s nice to see a bit of sun
and feel like it’s a good day

I don't know if this is a metaphor, but if it is, it's one of the best ones I've read in a while.
