I guess that's okay, yet
it seems like many times there can be another way
if one has given the usual

but don't find it to be, uh,
satisfactory or desirable
I suppose one has to remove the blocks to trying it both ways
can't hurt to try the standard
can't hurt to try something original
mostly, it's best to be active to find a solution
