House plants

there have been those that died of neglect
those that died from too much heat in the house
those that died in the darkness of the indoors
some leaves looked scorched
some turned a sickly yellow
some lost their leaves one by one
but
others hung on to life and almost thrived
those were usually the succulents
yes, I noticed a pattern
the ones that can store their water
they survived in my kitchen window!
I began collecting those
cacti don’t die
jade plants don’t either
I’ve found something I can’t kill
and I’m glad
But wouldn’t it be wonderful if I could learn how to cultivate my favorite ones?
That’s a goal
Learn to be a good caregiver to the ones I want
instead of collecting those that survive no matter what I do

You know what other type of plant (herb) is quite tenacious I found, thyme, and not only does it hang on, it smells fabulous and is a very fresh green colour.
You know I like metaphors.
Yeah, thyme sounds like a good one too!
You's a metaphysical master magician, justam!!!
And that thyme, mmmm, it smells and tates delicious too!!! Can't beat a plant that you can eat. Gaw, I'm such a herbivore!!!
Your words are making my cheeks turn pink, but I'm not complaining.
