whispering hands wrote:Take them with you to the gatherings! I googled the place where the Wishlist people are having their ore party, and the place that Mamasan23 is throwing their get together. Both look pretty cool. But that Sluggers place looks hella fun! SKEE BALL!! Anyhow, hope to get to run into ya out there!
And some good advice for. ANYONE trying to find love, start out as friends first.. Get to know someone.. I guess that's why I'm still single.. No one wants to get to know who I am or what I'm about..
And I will never be a slut.. So I guess I'm just SOL. Anyhow see ya in Chicago maybe!
this is all anecdotal, but i have to disagree with you about the being friends first part though. i have always had a lot of friends. lots of female friends, that neither of us are sexually attracted to each other, and they have all been my friends for years and years. i have never ever once had a friendship relationship blossom into anything more. if i were looking for that to happen, i would have gone into it with the intent of being more than just friends. there was always this mutual fear that introducing romance into those relationships would possibly ruin the friendships. and nobody wants that to happen. ya know? then again, that is possibly why i am still singlePost edited by gimmesometruth27 on"You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln

If there are any cute Chicago girls looking for a ticket to the show in July, girlfriend and I recently hit the fritz and her ticket just became available. Ticket is GA on the field. I'd rather take someone in to Pearl Jam than a date that only knows two songs.
PM me if interested.0 -

PJ_Soul wrote:I agree with you. I have and have had lots of male friends, and in a few cases they have tried to take it to another level (or even been in love with me) and it just inevitably fucked everything up (and really, they weren't just friends with me first - they were attracted to me the whole time and kept it to themselves so I just thought it was completely platonic). So yeah, I have NEVER had a real friendship blossom into a relationship - at least not without disastrous results. And you're right... I figure that, especially for a man, if he's going to be sexually interested in a woman, he's going to feel that way from the start, or will never feel that way. And as a woman I'm the same. Either I'm interested in him romantically from the start, or I never am. I've tried to force my feelings to go that way once or twice, and it didn't work at all."You can tell the greatness of a man by what makes him angry." - Lincoln
